My new Mash up name for my tikes…..like? Tomorrow my bubs will be 15 & 16 weeks old!!! I cannot believe it….Time passes so quickly. They are still growing every day. Their personalities are shining through more and more….its CRAZY. London is GREEDY….he eats and eats and eats…and eats. He’s a little butterball…..Phoenix’s appetite is picking up as well…They have been home almost 3 weeks and I couldn’t be happier. They are still on oxygen, but not for much longer I’m hoping…. I’m just enjoying being a mommy…..hearing them cry and be comforted when I pick them up or talk to them is the best feeling in the world….They make me wanna have more kids…Not yet tho!

I’m in NC and all we have is the norm….McDonalds, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, KFC, etc. I see ppl on here from all over talking about their fast food places…..I wanna try it!! At least the south still has Cook Out though……

For months, I would envy you girls that had your babies, took them home, dressed them up, breast fed, and just generally love on them, but now I am officially over being envious!!! Why do you ask??? Because both my sons came home today!!! Its honestly the best feeling in the world. It almost feels surreal.

Last night, we roomed in at the hospital to make sure we were comfortable because both the boys came home with oxygen. They were so unprepared its not even funny. They said it’s because twins never come home together and if they do at least one isn’t on oxygen. So they tried to tell us me and my Husband would have to sleep in different rooms….Yeah freakin right….Needless to say they made it so we all slept together.

This morning we woke up, got dressed, reminisced with the doctors, finished the formalities and went on our way!

It feels sooooooooo good to have our family together!!!

Absolutely, positively cannot wait for this!!! Sooooo cute!

Baby Shower #1

So, as you all know I had Phoenix and London before I had my baby shower…..so one of my dear friends volunteered to plan one for me and set the date in April after they should be home because I wouldn’t want to travel that far away while they were still in the hospital. She has been planning since January and I was suuuper excited. It’s gonna be in Winston Salem because I have family in Wilmington, Durham, and everywhere else and Winston just seemed like the neutral location…..But black folks are strange creatures. My aunt in Wilmington decides a couple weeks ago she was going to throw a baby shower for me there AFTER I sent her a message asking for her address for shower invites……..UGH. I hate last minute stuff.

I got an invitation to my own baby shower last night and was………disappointed. They put my Husband’s name in quotation marks. He goes by his middle name so she put his first name then the name he goes by in quotations….Looks like someone printed them out on a home printer going on the fritz because its a printer color line going down the left side…put the babies’ birth weights on them, got the birth weights WRONG….uggggh Lawd I swear I know she meant well but I just was like WTF?! Why couldn’t they just collaborate with my friend and do a HUGE shower?! I’m not ungrateful but I don’t want things just slapped together looking any kind of way.

So, this weekend I’ll be in Wilmington at baby shower #1. I just pray its nicer than those invitations….

I think I’m trying to get back into the swing of things with being on social networking/blogging sites. I have a lot to vent about and I need an outlet. Facebook is not the place for those thoughts…So I think I’m officially returning to Tumblr!

Today is Phoenix’s 2nd month on this Earth!! Its amazing!!! Him and his brother are the most amazing things in my world….They moved London to progressive care today, which is one step from home, but they separated them…we finally were gonna take pictures of them to post on FB. Its cool though….I’ll give you guys a sneak peek lol!

*This just in I just found out they are gonna move Phoenix on Thursday!!!*

AAAAAAHHHH I cannot wait for them to breeze through Progressive Care and come home….I think its not gonna hit me that we really did this until that happens……

I just found your blog a little bit ago, and I wanted to say congrats on your twins! :) how are they doing btw? & how are you handling everything so far?

Omg I’m so sorry I’m just seeing this!!! Initially it was very hard. The doctors were very pessimistic regarding Phoenix, who was born at 23 weeks. We are blessed and its by the grace of God we’re where we are. I had alot of complications during and after, but I’m finally okay too! Thank you for asking! Hows you and your little one?

Me and the Twinks are doing great! London is 3 lbs. 1 oz and Phoenix is 2 lbs. 15 oz. they are 6 & 7 weeks and 31 weeks gestational. They have grown so much! They are breathing on their own doing well with their feedings. We hold them every night and it’s amazing. They’ll be out of the NICU veery soon and home in March I’m thinking….they are two of the most handsome babies I’ve ever seen!!! I’m so in love!!

Dec 2 water broke + Dec 7 in labor vaginally+ at 23 weeks + cervix closing back up + cerclage Dec 13 + going into labor and having a c section Dec 14 at 24 weeks = Phoenix and London. When I have a few moments I’ll be able to go into details, but it has been a long emotional road. They are both doing wonderful, London is breathing on his own and Phoenix is still on the ventilator but his oxygen is at about 21-30%. Phoenix was 1 lb. 8 oz 11.5 inches and London was 1 lb. 7 oz 11.8 inches. All prayers will be greatly appreciated.

I haven’t gotten a picture of my Twin B the past two doctor visits because she’s always hiding! These are great!

My tumblr is tripping and I cant even see what I’m typing, but I did want to want to acknowledge you—so bare with me…soooo our trouble baby is Twin A…London. Idk why he was so difficult the first few ultrasounds, but now he’s starting to come out of his shell…weird how that goes lol. Twin B, Phoenix is a show off tho…I bet they’ll be nothing like their utero-selves when they get here tho!
